Hearing that, Scarlett remembered herself," It's ok. There are pajamas and bathrobes in the guest room."
Chris nodded, "Do you need a nap?"
"Yes, I do feel a little sleepy."
It was raining and foggy outside. That was a perfect day to sleep.
Scarlett took a sip of her water and said, " I'll go upstairs to rest."
"Have a good break."
"Same to you."
Scarlett was really sleepy. But after she changed her pajamas and lay in bed, she couldn't sleep.
She couldn't believe Raymond was downstairs in the guest room.
She finally couldn't help sitting up. She put her hands over her eyes for a while, put on her slippers, and went downstairs.
The door of the guest room was unlocked. She opened the door and entered it.
The room was dark because the curtains were shut. Chris seemed to be sleeping soundly, and he lay on his side, facing her.
Scarlett trod carefully, sat at the bedside, and stared at him.
For more than six months, she wondered if things might have been different that night if she had asked Larry to pick her up instead of Raymond.
She sometimes blamed herself for not finding a way to get Raymond to spend the night at the Tank family's villa.
Though Raymond had not been heard from in the past six months, Scarlett had never cried.
However, when she saw Raymond sleeping in front of her, she could not hold back her tears.
Chris suddenly opened his eyes when her tears fell.
Scarlett turned her head subconsciously, not wanting him to see her crying. Chris was stunned for a while.
After a few seconds, he sat up and gently touched her face, "Don’t cry."
As he said, he took her in his arms, "You probably won’t believe it. My heart really aches when I see you cry."
