Chris didn’t get much sleep these two days. He looked haggard.
After they had dinner, Scarlett cupped her chin and looked at him. She said, "Would you like to have a massage?"
Hearing that, Chris glanced at her and nodded.
Scarlett smiled. She came up to the couch, sat down, signaled to Chris and said, "Come here."
Chris came up to her and sat beside her.
Scarlett leaned to the side and kneeled on the couch. She put her fingers on his temples and stroked his temples slightly.
It was quiet in the living room. They all kept silent.
After a while, he covered her hand with his big hand. She was surprised. She glanced at him and asked, "What's the matter?"
He asked, "When will you return home?"
Hearing that, Scarlett arched her eyebrows and said, "You're anxious to let me return home. Have they taken action?"
Although Chris had lost his memories, he knew Scarlett was smart after he got along with her and he was unable to hide anything from her. So he told her what had happened in the company today simply, " Orion and the others don't have many stocks, but they insist that I'm unrelated to Chloe by blood. Luckily, Chloe prepared many authoritative paternity test reports. Although they question my identity, it's just a stalling tactic for them."
Scarlett said, "Will they play the same trick again?"
Chloe didn't have any children before.
Orion and the others weren't worried that someone else would get UI Group. However, Chris showed up suddenly and said that he was Chloe's son. If they wanted to get UI Group, they had to kill Chris.
The way was stupid but practical.
Orion and the others didn't know that Chloe's will was in Scarlett's hand. If they got to know that, Scarlett would also be in danger.
Chris wanted her to return home early. It was reasonable.
Chris said, "They are not able to kill me, so they may hurt you. "
Scarlett smiled, "Alright, I see. It turns out that you are afraid that I will become a burden to you and hinder you."
As soon as Scarlett finished speaking, Chris lifted her.
