Hearing Raymond was calling her, Scarlett froze.
Holding the car door, she stood there and looked at Raymond who came over, "Whom is Mr. Shaw going to plead for this time?"
After Raymond heard her words, his expression hardened. How come he had never found her so sarcastic?
"You don't have to be so hostile to me. In fact, I don't hate you as much as you think I do."
Looking at him, Scarlett suddenly laughed, "You mean that you don't hate me that much. On the contrary, you still have a crush on me?"
After saying that, Scarlett narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms in front of her chest. Standing up straight, she looked into Raymond's dark eyes, "But sorry, Raymond, whether you hate me or not means nothing to me. I've told you that after the divorce, we are strangers. So..."
She paused and gave a cold smile, "I just treat you as a stranger now."
Raymond's face stiffened. His cold gaze fell on her.
Scarlett's repetition of "A stranger" annoyed him. He raised his hand at his side and pulled the buttons of
his shirt, trying to suppress his anger, "Are you afraid that you will come back to me when you could stand u p with being apart from me?"
Scarlett wasn’t angry but smiled, "I never understood why Tiffany was so confident for no reason. But now I get it. Being overconfident is probably the fine tradition of your Shaw family. You all are narcissistic and conceited."
She didn't say any foul language, but each of her words was scolding him.
Raymond's black eyes slowly moved, and then his gaze fell on her red lips.
'How such harsh words come from such pretty lips?’
"If you're so confident that you won't come back to me, then why do you delude yourself and treat me as a stranger?"
"A slap-"
Scarlett raised her hand and slapped Raymond. The smile on her face faded, and there was only blandness and coldness left in her eyes.
Looking at him, she asked him calmly, "Don’t be crazy."
Raymond raised his hand and touched his face. She slapped Raymond so hard that his face still hurt a lot even now.
