Alexis was almost seven months pregnant, so her belly was very obvious now.
"Lettie, happy birthday!"
Scarlett didn't dodge Alexis's embrace but stood still with a smile, letting Alexis pounce on her.
But soon, Alexis was pulled away by Justin.
"What are you..."
Before Alexis could finish speaking, she was taken aback by Justin's cold look. So, she could only take Scarlett's hand and walk inside, mumbling, "Petty man!"
Scarlett snorted, "Today is my birthday. I don't want to see your public display of affection."
Alexis glanced at Scarlett, raised her hand to pat her own mouth, and said, "I will try my best."
Scarlett followed her to the dining table with a lot of dishes on it and knew they were not cooked by Alexis at a glance.
"Takeout?" She glanced at Justin who had walked up to Alexis, and he nodded, "Yeah."
She had guessed it right.
Scarlett smiled and sat down. Watching Justin handing a napkin to Alexi, she suddenly missed Raymond more.
When Alexis said something, Scarlett woke up from her trance and put the napkin on her lap.
Alexis had always been the most active person among the three. Neither Scarlett nor Justin was talkative. When Alexis was twittering, there were no awkward silences, and the atmosphere was less boring.
When Alexis began talking about their youth, Scarlett raised her eyebrows and said, "You copied from me and Justin whenever you did your homework."
Alexis, who had been bragging that the math teacher had praised her, said awkwardly, "...You are exaggerating! I didn't copy from you every time."
Scarlett snorted lightly, "You’re right. You had to make one or two mistakes to make the teachers believe that you did your homework by yourself."
Alexis was speechless, thinking that Scarlett was a bit much.
When they talked about the past, even Justin, who was reticent, joined their conversation.
