Nancy glanced at Ethan.
Ethan frowned, but said nothing.
"Fine, let's drink." As she said, she raised her glass in a toast to Kathy.
"Nancy, I heard that Anna works in the pediatric department of your hospital. She seems to be very good. You know, she went back to our school a few days ago." The one who said was a chubby girl, who looked upright.
"Nancy, do you know her?" Doris asked, taking a sip of juice.
Nancy chuckled. "Yes," she said.
Ethan said indifferently, "I've also seen her. She's too arrogant."
"Yes, she is. After all, her family is rich," said Betty.
Perhaps it was because of Kathy that Betty disliked Nancy.
"By the way, a few days ago, on our school forum, it was said that a senior girl got pregnant and gave birth to a child five years ago, and she seemed to have a break from the school." Kathy cast a sidelong glance at Nancy and said, "Nancy, isn't it really a coincidence? I remember you too suspended school. How could it be so coincidental?"
Nancy smiled, but maintained her silence.
Now that there were so many people guessing about her past, she didn't really mind Kathy to be one of them.
However, Doris' face turned cold. "Kathy, what do you mean? Are you implying someone? Who are you talking about?" she asked indifferently.
"Oh, I didn't say anything about you, Doris. Don't worry," Kathy said in a voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Humph! Kathy, don't think that I don't know what happened between you and Ethan. You don't like Nancy, just because Ethan likes her, right? If you really have the ability, why can't you make Ethan like you? Common, make it happen and show us. But if you can't, don't slander Nancy for hiding your inability." The more Doris said, the angrier she became. "Oh, I see. I get it now. You must have posted that message on the forum, right? Kathy, I really underestimated you. Why do you hate Nancy so much?"
"Don't talk nonsense! You are crossing the limit, Doris. Who posted that message? Do you have any evidence that I did it?" Kathy shouted. She was so angry that her face blushed and her whole body was shaking.
If Ethan wasn't there, she wouldn't have been so anxious. But now, Ethan was right in front of her, watching. She hoped to get close to him through this class reunion.
But it seemed that her plan was interrupted by Doris. Instead of gaining his respect and admiration, it seemed, she was gaining his ire.
"Is it just fun for you to quarrel like this?" Ethan said coldly, "Does that woman five years ago have anything to do with you?"
It seemed that Ethan was blaming Kathy for stirring up trouble.
Kathy couldn't say anything, but bit her lips in grievance.
"Ethan, how could you say that about Kathy? She loves you so much!" Betty said as she stood out to defend Kathy.
Hearing this, everyone was stunned.
Everyone already knew that Kathy had a crush on Ethan. But earlier, they could just pretend about not knowing about this. What about now?
They couldn't keep pretending anymore.
"Haha, haha..." Doris smiled lamely.
Kathy's face turned red and pale, not knowing whether she was angry or shy.
Then she stamped her feet on the floor, turned around and ran out.
"Ethan, please go after her. Anyway, she likes you. If she runs away like this, what if something happens to her?" said Nancy.
She knew that she owed Ethan a lot, so she really hoped that Ethan could find a true love.
Since Kathy couldn't forget Ethan, the two of them could be together.
"Hurry up, Ethan," urged Doris.
Ethan finally stood up and walked out lazily.
"Wow, there's a play!" Doris smiled.
"Exactly. If not for Nancy, Kathy and Ethan would have been together!" said Betty.
