The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 235

Charles felt his anxiety burning him from the inside out. He had reached the end of his tether and no longer had the patience to play Fannie's games. "Where is Nancy?” he demanded menacingly as he grabbed her collar.

Fannie chuckled at his evident distress. "Mr. Fu, you're a funny one. I didn't know you had it in you to make those kinds of jokes. Why are you asking me where your girlfriend is?" She made a show of turning around and asked, "Mom, have you seen sister Nancy?"

Charles wanted to wring her throat at the sound of her sickly sweet voice.

Jill hurried outside. "Oh, Mr. Fu, it's you. Nancy hasn't come back yet. If you're looking for her, you came to the wrong place. She has only been home for a few days since she came back. I am at fault as her mother...

She cast her eyes downward, feigning shame.

Charles saw right through her little act. He knew that all this was a farce.

"I see. So you don't want to tell me," he said, his voice low and cold. His temper was at its tipping point.

Fannie felt a chill crawl through her skin and her eyes widened with fear as they met his. His whole presence spoke of a silent threat. Even with her knees buckling from under her, she refused to acquiesce. "Mr. Fu, it's not that I don't want to tell you, but I can't! I really don't know where she is!"

"She’s right. We don't know anything!" Jill quickly echoed.

Charles' hands tightened their grip on Fannie's collar and he brought his face at her eye level. "Do not test me. I promise you, you won't like it," he hissed, one of his hand closing in dangerously around her throat.

"I really... I don't know!" Fear coursed through Fannie as she felt the pressure on her throat, but her hatred for Nancy outweighed even the threat to her own life. She struggled in his grip and insisted, "Mr. Fu, I'm telling the truth!"

Jill knew that Charles did not spout empty warnings. As she looked at the hand that was around Fannie's neck, her alarm rose.

"Mr. Fu, we really didn't see her. If we did, we would tell you!" Jill cried out.

Charles' grip only tightened.

Fannie's breathing came in desperate gulps as she continued to thrash in his hands.

Jill shook where she stood, rooted in her own fear at the sight of Charles' anger.

She did not dare come near. A woman vicious down to her bones, she was unwilling to let go of her personal vendetta on Nancy even as her daughter's life was slowly get choked out of her, breath by breath.

In her mind, she was still considering her options.

If Charles never found out, he wouldn't kill her. Not without evidence.

Fannie wouldn’t die, and Nancy would still be punished.

What she failed to think of was that Charles was quickly losing reason.

The thought of Nancy in danger threw him in a frenzy, and he would accept no compromise.

He was indifferent to the thought of killing the woman in front of him.

Fannie was gulping for air. She wanted to shout for help, but her voice was trapped in her throat.

"Oh, my God! What are you doing? Your daughter is gasping for breath and you're just watching there like a fool!" Clark shouted at Jill angrily.

At first, Clark had thought that Charles would leave if he couldn't find Nancy here. He couldn't have been more wrong. As he looked at his tight grasp around Fannie's neck, he knew that Charles wouldn't take no for an answer. It was a dreadful scene, but what he found most appalling was that Jill kept on insisting on having her way even at the cost of her own daughter's life. Seeing life almost drained out of Fannie's face, he knew he had to take action himself.

"Mr. Fu, let go of her..."

he said, pushing the wheelchair. "Let go of her. I'll tell you!" He grasped his hand and pleaded when Charles didn't move, "Nancy is in the basement. The door is not locked. Go to the basement and you will find her there!"

Charles shoved Fannie aside and ran down to the basement.

Fannie fell to the ground like a withered leaf.
