The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 360

Charles decided to give Hiram a call. "Hiram, have you found out Edward’s whereabouts?"

"Mr. Fu, I've tried looking for him in all the possible places he could have gone to. I scouted every area of the city, but unfortunately, I haven't found him. My suspicion is that he is still in the country and hasn't left at all," answered Hiram.

Charles' eyes darkened when he heard this. "Do you think he's doing this on purpose?"

"I'm not so sure. Maybe..." Before he could finish his sentence, Hiram stopped himself after giving it a second thought.

"Go on!"

"Does Edward have... Ah, Mr. Fu. I really am not sure. In my opinion, I just feel like if you don't end up with Nancy, he will surely benefit from it. Don't you think so?" Hiram spoke cautiously, afraid of angering Charles.

Charles' fingers slowly gripped tightly on the phone.

He didn't want to believe that Edward was doing this on purpose. However, there seemed to be no other reason for his disappearance.

Charles considered that maybe Edward and Derrick were conspiring against him.

The whole time, Nancy was standing right next to Charles and could clearly hear every bit of what Hiram and Charles talked about.

"Charles, listen to me. Edward is really not that kind of person. I'm sure something must have happened to him. I trust in him!" Nancy explained anxiously.

"But, Nancy. Don't you realize that the man is in love with you?" When Charles said this, he looked at Nancy with penetrating eyes.

Nancy blushed in a deep shade of pink and bit her lip in embarrassment.

In fact, she had always known that Edward liked her a little bit, but only a little...

If Edward truly had feelings for her, then he should have told her.

She couldn't do anything else but heave a sigh and said, "We don't know that!"

"If the man didn't love you, then why in the world would he come back all the way from the other side of the world to end up living so close to you? Tell me what you think. Nancy?" Charles spoke in a placid manner, quietly trying to confer.

"However, nothing will ever happen between us. Charles, there's no reason for you to be speculating such things okay?" Nancy said, trying to analyze the situation as rationally as she could.

"I'm not making any guesses. You seem to have underestimated a man's desire for possession. Love is selfish. I don't think that Edward would simply give up his love for you for the sake of our relationship." Of course, Charles would always get what he wanted. He had been this way ever since.

Nevertheless, Edward... He must also be the same kind of man as Charles was and wouldn't just give up on Nancy.

"I've always considered Edward as my family. I've told this to you so many times. He's always been a great person and treated me well. Why can't you understand this?" Nancy was beginning to get aggravated and spoke more fiercely this time.

"I know that Edward is a good man, but love has nothing to do with whether a person is good or bad." After a short silence, he continued, "I'm a man and I know men better than you do!"

"But you don't know anything about Edward!" Nancy couldn't resist raising her voice.

Even if Charles was truly the man she loved, she couldn't allow herself to watch him to throw Edward under the bus.

Charles glowered after hearing this and thought about what Nancy said for a while. He definitely didn't know a lot about Edward, but as far as he knew, he was definitely not a scumbag.

But that still left Edward's disappearance unanswered.

If everything was fine, he would have at least given either him or Nancy a call.

"We have to trust Edward for now. We can't make assumptions and cause a destructive misunderstanding between us. It would be incredibly unjust to suspect a man who has been so good to us. Imagine how upset he'll be if he finds out." Nancy was so anxious about the situation that she was close to shedding tears.

Charles stroked her hair softly and comforted her. "Okay, okay. I know..." Afterwards, he took Nancy's hand with a look of conviction and said, "Let's try and see if Edward left anything behind.”

"Okay."

So, they proceeded to go into Edward's bedroom.

It was the first time that Charles had seen the inside. The faint blue light cast an elegant atmosphere in the room. There was also a small bed, on which a collection of different kinds of books were placed.

On a small desk on the corner was an unfinished painting.

Charles walked over and picked it up gently.

From the moment he saw it, he could already tell that it was Nancy's portrait.

In the painting, she wore a beautiful beige dress. She was standing in a luscious garden, attentively drawing something on a drawing board in front of her.

"I didn't expect you to be such an elegant woman," said Charles in a slightly jealous tone.

"Occasionally..." Nancy smiled awkwardly.

"It clear that Edward loves you very much. He wouldn't just paint a portrait of you for no reason," Charles said half-jokingly.
