Daisy felt uneasy.
She wasn't aware that Joseph didn’t have his phone on him at the moment.
As soon as he entered the police station, the police had confiscated his phone.
Joseph was now seated in the interrogation room and the police had just begun their inquiry.
They asked him about the Romantic Public Club. It was the first time he had heard the name, but it was registered by his grandfather. He had no idea that it even existed.
Joseph didn't know whether Derrick had something to do with this or not.
No matter how much the police asked, Joseph denied having any knowledge of the matter. "I don’t know anything about this club. I just found out that it existed. I have no idea what kind of projects it runs."
Joseph was telling the truth, but the police refused to believe him.
"We want to find out if your father has the right to operate this club. What kind of projects does he run there? Please answer me."
The police had asked him this repeatedly, but Joseph's answer remained the same.
At first, Joseph fully intended to cooperate with the police, but he was starting to get frustrated with them. They kept repeating the same meaningless question. Joseph suddenly stood up and slammed his hand on the table. "I told you that I know nothing! What else do you want from me? Are you going to force me to tell you what you want to hear?"
The police had many experiences like this, so they weren't fazed by Joseph’s sudden outburst. "Please sit down, sir. Don't worry. We have plenty of time to sort this out. We'll ask you again slowly, so you can take your time answering."
"Damn it!" Joseph exclaimed. "Let me go! I don’t have time to play with you."
"Insulting the police is a serious offense. Please respect and cooperate with our work." The policeman cast a sidelong glance at Joseph.
Joseph's temper flared when he accused him of insulting the police. He suddenly waved a fist in front of the policeman.
"I'm done talking to you. Can I beat you?"
His fist came upon the policeman so fast that he didn't have time to react. His fist landed on the policeman's head.
"Joseph, how dare you attack the police? It's a crime." the policeman quickly stepped aside.
Joseph kicked his chair away in aggravation. "Did I commit a crime? Did I kill someone? Was I the one who set off the fire? Tell me!"
"We suspect that the arson case in the municipal hospital is related to the Fu family. All signs point to the real boss of the Romantic Private Club, which is Derrick. That's why we brought you here. You not only failed to cooperate, but you even attacked us. I don't think you have any plans of leaving, am I right? You can go to jail if you want. If you prefer, you can continue to make trouble for yourself. Go on!" the policeman shouted at Joseph. His eyes flared in anger after Joseph struck him.
"I'm okay with that. I won't go out for the rest of my life," Joseph said sarcastically. He was disturbed by their questions. Joseph wasn't in the right mind to be reasonable right now. He waved his fist at the policeman again.
The policeman was able to dodge him the first time, but Joseph still managed to hit him several times.
