The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 695

Joseph sighed in an almost inaudible way and uttered, "You just never believe me, don't you? Even though I tell you the truth, you would believe otherwise."

"You can’t blame me! You've fooled me too many times before!" Daisy protested.

"I swear I won't lie to you anymore, Daisy. Please, let's marry again!" Joseph said earnestly and grabbed her hand. "The old Joseph is dead now. I’ve changed, and you're still the only one I love. Please believe me, Daisy."

Baffled, Daisy was petrified to her feet, not knowing whether to believe Joseph or not.

But then, she also witnessed how much Joseph had changed over the past weeks.

He would no longer surround himself with women and just stayed by her side every day after shooting. He never attended any social activities or frequented bars and nightclubs.

"Will you not lose your temper again?" Daisy asked, raising her eyebrows.

"No, I won't! I swear! If I lose my temper again, I will be hit by a car and..."

"Don’t say that!" Surprised and slightly alarmed at what Joseph said, Daisy was quick enough to interrupt him.

"Alright, I won’t say that as long as you agree with my proposal. What do you say, Daisy?” Joseph eyed Daisy with so much anticipation.

"If you promise you won't lose your temper again, then I ’ll accept your proposal." Daisy finally gave in; she didn't know if it was because she still loved Joseph or was

just swayed by his persistence.

All she knew was that a part of her would die if Joseph would leave her side.

As for whether it was love or not, she didn't understand. In fact, she didn't want to figure it out. All that mattered at that moment was that Joseph was right beside her.

Everything else was insignificant. After all, figuring it out would just complicate things, so it was better to just enjoy his company.

"Okay, I promise!" As those words escaped his lips, Joseph reached out and pulled Daisy closer, attacking her lips with the most sensual kiss.

While they were making out, Charles rang for a call.

Heaving a deep sigh, Joseph impatiently uttered, "Damn it! Charles calls at the wrong time. I won't answer it."

"Answer the call! It might be something important," Daisy commanded, breaking away from his kiss.

Helpless, Joseph reluctantly let go of Daisy and answered the phone in a menacing tone. "What's up, Charles?"

"How are you now, Joseph?"

'Tm fine."

"Why are you so angry? Is your body still in heat?" Charles asked half-jokingly.

"I was being intimate with Daisy when you called. What is it that you want?" An evident hint of disquietude could be extracted from Joseph's tone.

"Well, nothing serious. It's just about Fannie. I know she is hateful, but she is Nancy's half-sister. Nancy is ashamed of what she did..."

"I know what you want to say, but I won't reconcile with Fannie. I will let that woman rot in prison for the rest of her life. I almost betrayed Daisy because of her. Fannie can't pay for she has done. And I’m telling you, Charles, you can never convince me to set that devious woman free." With his brows tightly knitted, Joseph furiously spat those words over the line.

The moment he thought of Fannie, it felt as if his body would burst from extreme anger. As a playboy, Joseph didn't expect he would be fooled by a woman.

So how could he not be angry when he almost fell into Fannie’s tricks? She made a fool out of him.
