The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 713

Charles fetched painkillers and a glass of water for Nancy.

Nancy’s face was covered with sweat.

"Here you go, dear. I feel bad for you." Charles sighed deeply.

"I hope I am not a woman in my next life," Nancy said as she struggled with the pain.

"In that case, I hope I am a woman in my next life," Charles said to make Nancy happy.

"This life has already been difficult for us. How can you still want us to be romantically involved in the next life?" Nancy sounded somewhat depressed as she spoke.

Charles put his hand on Nancy's belly and gently rubbed it. "Not just in the next life, Nancy. I want us to be together in all the lives I will have."

"So you can bully me over and over?" Nancy snorted angrily.

"How about you bully me in our next life?" Charles asked teasingly.

"You're a dick! How about we switch roles in this life? I'll bully you in this life, and you can bully me in the next." As an empiricist, Nancy didn't believe in things such as the afterlife.

"Well, I surrender my whole life to you. You can bully me however you want, is that okay?" Charles said dotingly.

Somehow, he was able to alleviate some of Nancy's pain. She was a woman after all, and she could not resist his sweetness.

"Do you mean those words, Charles?"

"Well, as long as you marry me!" Charles smiled affectionately at Nancy.

He meant that the only way Nancy could have the upper hand against him was through marriage.

"Charles, promise me that you'll help in finding the truth about Nana's case. We can get married as soon as she wakes up!"

Instead of words, Charles responded by holding Nancy gently.

The following day, Nancy was awakened by a call from Doris.

Doris felt off and disoriented that morning.

Jay had just told her everything about his past with Eva.

Doris did not know what to feel. Deep in her kind heart, she truly felt sorry for Eva.

After all, Eva's whole life was ruined.

Nancy knew almost nothing about Eva or Su family.

Nancy could hear Doris sobbing in the background. Once Doris had told him Jay and Eva's past, Nancy said, “That's really terrible, but all of that is in the past. You won't mind it, will you?"

Doris sniffled and said, “I won't, but I am afraid that Eva is pinning her hopes on Jay. If so, Jay will be under great pressure, and so will I."

"I don't know how to comfort you, Doris. Their relationship is in the past, and we can do nothing to change it. Just be considerate toward Jay and don't argue with him. He must be in a bad mood."

"I won’t argue with him. I can see how terrified he is of his responsibilities. He's afraid that Eva will bug him for the rest of his life. What should I do, Nancy?" Doris asked rather helplessly.

Doris was not one to be bothered by such things. She was actually a laid-back and open-minded partner.

But she felt uncomfortable when she heard Jay wailing at night. The man's sleep was haunted by thought of Eva.

She felt so helpless, the only thing she could do was to call Nancy.
