Chapter 1203
It was Maxine.
Maxine knew that James had saved Thea. After some hesitation, she decided to visit them.
“I heard James is injured, so I’m here to pay him a visit.” Maxine’s expression was composed, as though she could not feel a sense of guilt at all.
“No need.”
Thea was displeased with Maxine. If not for Maxine giving her idiotic ideas,
Thea would not have attacked James. James would not have been injured, and Enter title… none of the ensuing problems would have arisen.
“Are you trying to blame me for this, Thea?” Maxine looked at her. “You know James best. If we don’t kill him now, he’ll turn the Mount Thunder Conference upside down. Many will perish by the Gu Sect’s hands. Can you bear watching James descend into evil? How are you different from Thomas Caden decades ago?”
“No matter what he does, I’ll forever stay by his side.”
Slam!
After she said that, Thea slammed the door shut.
“What the hell?” Maxine frowned. Thea was a completely different person now.
‘Could it be?’ Maxine thought of something.
Thea returned to the room, and James had overheard their conversation. She walked over to him and said, “It’s Maxine.”
“Yes, I heard her.” James nodded slightly. This was a critical moment. He believed it would be best not to meet with Maxine before the Mount Thunder Conference. After the conference was over, he would question her and understand why she instigated Thea to attack him.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
‘Thea, open the door. Open the door, James. Do you know what you’ve done? How many more do you intend to kill?”
Maxine kept knocking. However, the door remained firmly shut. After leaving a few remarks, Maxine turned to leave.
Meanwhile, Aphrodite and Venus, who were keeping watch, looked at each other. Then, one of them left and reported to Lucjan about what had happened.
