Chapter 1574
Mt. Thunder Pass had been demolished.
The cliff collapsed, and trees were uprooted everywhere.
About half an hour later…
Thomas was done treating Maxine.
He slowly placed Maxine on the ground, letting her lie on her side.
“How is she?
“Is she alright, Grandpa?” James quickly inquired.
Thomas replied, “Her injuries are under control. Her life won’t be in danger for the time being. However, the injury she sustained from the palm attack is quite severe, and it’ll require a long time for her to recuperate. She’ll need constant True Energy to maintain the vitality in her body. Otherwise, she might die any time.”
He turned to James and continued, “The only thing that can save her is Crucifier.”
“Alright.”
James nodded lightly and said, “I’ll go look for Crucifier as soon as possible to treat her.”
Maxine was taken hostage because of him and Thea.
James felt a little guilty.
“Alright, everyone, disperse.”
Thomas urged the martial artists around them to leave.
He scanned their faces until his gaze finally stopped on the Omniscient Deity. A faint smile slowly formed on his face.
After that, he did not linger around and quickly left.
The Omniscient Deity watched Thomas leave. He stroked his chin and murmured, “What was Thomas trying to signal?”
He was confused why Thomas smiled at him. There seemed to be something behind it.
What could his smile mean?
He could not figure it out and pushed the thought aside for now.
“James, I’ll take Maxine back to the Capital first.”
Bennett left a word and left with the injured and unconscious Maxine.
The others left one after another.
Jackson and Delainey walked up to James.
The both of them could not help but cast a few glances at Thea.
