The Almighty Dragon General novel Chapter 1809

Chapter 1809

When he noticed James, Thomas headed over to him with his entourage.

Thea collected herself and looked at Thomas, greeting him respectfully, “Sir Caden.”

As she spoke, she tugged at James.

James collected himself and looked at Thomas, saying coldly, “Congratulations on becoming the ruler of a new nation.”

There was a hint of aloofness in his tone. In truth, he did not wish for Thomas to establish Japura and struggle for supremacy on the world stage. Since antiquity, something like this had never come to any good for anyone. Besides, these were peaceful times. He did not want the newly-established nations to fight for territory and resources, thereby turning the world upside down in the process.

“Congratulations, Thea.” Looking at Thea’s stomach, Thomas said while smiling. “The Cadens will soon have new blood. If it’s a boy. I’ll raise him as the future Emperor of Japura.”

“Thank you, Sir Caden.” Thea said with gratitude, “However, I only wish for my son to be an ordinary person. I don’t want him to be involved in this conflict.”

“Preposterous!” Thomas roared, “Being born a Caden means that he’s destined to be distinguished. How can I possibly allow the descendants of the Japura royal family to be ordinary? We’ll become a laughingstock to the world!”

Stunned by his sudden outburst, Thea was petrified.

James hurriedly stepped forward and said, “Grandpa, I make my own decisions for my child.”

Thomas took a deep breath. He did not wish to get into a quarrel with James at the moment. After all, there was a crowd nearby.

“We’ll discuss this when the baby is born.”

Then, Thomas left with his entourage.

James consoled Thea, “Don’t let him get to you, Darling.”

Thea forced a smile and said, “He’s just concerned about the child, that’s all. However, I don’t want my child to be involved in the petty power struggles of the ancient martial world.”

“Mhm.” James nodded.
