Thea turned her head and noticed that two gorgeous women were walking toward her. They were Cynthia and Tiara. Over the past few years, they had been together.

Thea collected herself and nodded, “Hello, Cynthia. It certainly has been a while. How are you doing?”

Cynthia smiled and said, “As well as I can be. By the way, have you seen Maxine recently?”

Thea froze momentarily and asked, “Maxine?”

“Yeah.” Cynthia nodded.

Thea asked, “What happened to her?” She had not seen Maxine recently.

Cynthia said, “She disappeared without a trace about two or three years ago. I have no idea where she went.”

“Huh?” Thea asked, puzzled, “What do you mean?”

Cynthia narrated the chain of events that unfolded.

Hearing this, Thea furrowed her eyebrows and asked, “Are you saying that she made her way over to Mount Bane to confirm for herself whether James is still alive? However, before meeting James, she disappeared while she was on her way to Mount Bane.”
