Jethro planned to put these thoughts aside for now and make a decision in the future. James was indeed strong. However, he was not yet in the position to threaten the Angel Race, let alone the Ten Great Races. As such, he would have no problem annihilating James.
James left the main hall and arrived outside the spiritual mountain.
Leilani was waiting for him.
The moment James appeared, she immediately walked to him and asked, “What did Father say to you?”
James glanced at her and grinned, “Nothing much. He said I was a talented genius that would only appear once in a century. He asked me whether I have a crush on you and wanted me to marry you.”
Hearing this, Leilani blushed. Then, she looked at him and chided him, “Yeah, right. Father would never say those things.”
“Feel free to ask him, then.”
James then strode straight ahead.
Leilani hesitated for a moment before catching up to him, asking, “Did he really say those things?”
“Of course.”
“How did you reply then?”
“I turned down his request, of course. I’m used to being alone, so I don’t want to have a partner, lest you become an obstacle to the path of greatness.”
“Hmph!” Leilani grunted coldly and said, “Am I not beautiful or enticing enough for you? Or do you perhaps think I’m not worthy of you? Even if you accepted Father’s offer, I won’t allow for this.”
