“Oh yeah…”
Upon remembering something, James asked, “Is the Caelum Acme Rank the highest rank? Are there more ranks beyond that?”
As a cultivator, James knew that the cultivation path had no end. By reaching a higher rank, one would be able to advance into a more advanced world. Only then could one comprehend more about a higher rank. In the past, James thought that the Grand Emperor Rank was the pinnacle of cultivation. Then came the Ancestral God Rank and the Acme Rank, but what came after the Acme Rank? These were all unanswered questions.
As the princess of the Angel Race, one of the Ten Great Races, her understanding of the world was deeper and more comprehensive than James'. So, James posed her a question.
Leilani shook her head slightly and said, “To my understanding, the Caelum Acme Rank is the pinnacle. I have never heard nor read anything in the ancient texts that say otherwise.”
Hearing this, James was relieved. He was worried that there would be powerful individuals beyond the Caelum Acme Rank appearing out of nowhere.
“What should we do now?” As Leilani looked at the Spatial Black Holes and cracks before her, she said, “Since the exterior of Planet Desolation is this terrifying already, wouldn’t things get worse inside?”
“There’s no rush,” James said, “Since no living being will be able to enter the Desolate Grand Canyon anyway, we might as well just stand guard here.”
“What for?” Leilani asked puzzledly.
James looked at the remaining Formation Inscription on the edges of the black holes and smiled faintly, saying, “To comprehend the Formation Inscriptions here, of course. If I’m not mistaken, these Formations must be the work of the same individual. This means that I’ll be able to extrapolate all the Formations inside Planet Desolation from the Formation Inscriptions of a single Formation. After comprehending the Formations, we will be able to wander about the planet unopposed.”
Hearing this, Leilani rolled her eyes.
“If this plan of yours works, the Formations here would have been broken long ago. Creatures of all kinds would have already found their way into the Desolate Grand Canyon, the secrets inside would have been exposed.”
“What other options do we have? This is our only way, so let’s just test things out.”
James said. He was not confident about what he was about to do. Though Soren Plamen had taught him some profound Formation Inscriptions of the Greater Realms, and as such, he had a certain degree of mastery of the Formation Inscriptions of the various races, the Formation here surpasses the ones of the Ten Great Races. That was why he was not feeling confident.
“Wait here. I’ll go get some inscription shards’ sigils here.”
Then, James’ body flickered, and he disappeared from view. When he reappeared, he was by the edges of a Spatial Black Hole. There, he found the shards of the Formation Inscriptions. As he raised his hand, a powerful force gathered in his palm, forcibly pulling these shards toward him. With those shards in his possession, he hurriedly retreated.
He returned to Leilani’s side. When he reappeared, there were a few living beings there as well. They were all somewhat handsome-looking men. Besides, James had seen them on Mount Eden before. They were the Core Disciples of some powerful families that enjoyed a relatively high status in the Greater Realms. Among them were sons of Patriarchs and Sect Elders, or even distinguished prodigies of a certain race.
