A copper coffin appeared within the vast Chaotic Void in the Greater Realms.
Inside the coffin lay a set of skeletons that radiated a strange white light. Within the enveloping glow, the skeleton rapidly grew flesh at a visible pace.
James felt a sudden dizziness in his head. Memories of his final battle in his past life flooded his mind. He remembered igniting everything within him, obtaining overwhelming power, and annihilating his enemies.
“Where am I?” he wondered as he opened his eyes. Before him were some mystical inscriptions. Slowly, his memories returned.
“I’m not dead?” he exclaimed in astonishment.
He attempted to sit up, but a powerful force from a restrictive spell crushed him back into the coffin. He sensed his surroundings, and with his divine sense, he realized he was trapped inside a copper-colored coffin. His Zen could extend beyond it, perceiving the Chaotic Void that surrounded him.
“My strength?” he sensed an extremely formidable power spreading through his physical body.
“The Omniscience Path’s Ninth Stage,” he said, his expression filled with shock. “I’ve broken through and reached the Omniscience Path’s Ninth Stage?”
“Who confined me in this coffin?” He could not fathom it. Determined to break free, he unleashed all his power to attack the coffin, but it proved futile. The coffin was enigmatic, infused with the power of the Greater Paths and potent restrictions. Even at the Omniscience Path’s Ninth Stage, he could not shatter it or escape its grasp.
He calmed himself down and tried to sense his current cultivation rank. His realm remained at the Quasi Boundless Supreme Path Rank, yet he felt an immense strength surging within him. It was as if he were continuously enhancing his power, as if he were progressing within the Quasi Boundless Rank. This strength was not overshadowed by his physical power.
“Boundless means infinite. In theory, one can cultivate strength on par with the Caelum Acme Rank even at the Quasi Boundless Supreme Path Rank. Although my current realm is only at the Quasi Boundless Supreme Path Rank, my power rivals that of the Caelum Acme Rank. It’s at least stronger than the power displayed by Xezal.” James realized, taking a deep breath.
He then utilized the power of the Omniscience Path to attack the copper coffin. Still, he could not break free.
“Who could have crafted this coffin? Who buried me here? These restrictions are truly terrifying. I can’t open it even with my current strength,” James lamented, resigning himself to his confinement.
James then tried to sense the passage of time and was alarmed by what he found. “Thirty thousand?” he exclaimed.
The battle in the Cloud Universe happened thirty thousand epochs ago.
“Thirty thousand epochs have passed. I wonder how the Human Race is doing now.” James pondered, missing the humans and Thea.
He attempted once more to force the coffin to move forward, and this time, he found that he succeeded in controlling its movement. However, he still could not break the coffin.
He sensed his position and quickly left the Chaotic Void, heading toward a rift that appeared in the boundless void. The coffin plunged into the rift, disappearing without a trace.
