Latran did not pursue the topic any further. He turned around and began walking toward a spiritual mountain.
James closely followed behind them.
Atop the spiritual mountain was a black palace that emitted a black aura. The aura gathered in the sky and shrouded the area, giving the place an eerie vibe.
Latran led James into the vast hall.
In the front of the hall was a massive seat formed by countless skulls.
“Sir.” Latran immediately knelt to the ground.
James quickly followed suit.
“Hmm?” An apathetic voice resounded in the hall.
Immediately afterward, a mass of black mist landed on the highest seat and materialized into an old man who looked to be in his fifties.
While kneeling on the ground, James glanced at the old man that had appeared.
He wore a gray robe and had a rather ordinary appearance. However, the old man had a frightening scar that stretched from his ear to the corner of his mouth, causing his lips to look slightly crooked.
James was slightly puzzled by his appearance. A cultivator that had reached a certain level could heal a scar easily. Thus, James pondered on why the Malvada Sect’s deputy leader would leave the scar to be.
