The open wounds scattered on James’ skin and his internal injuries were slowly healing with James’ powers. Unfortunately, injuries caused by the Heavenly Tribulation were awfully difficult to heal. Although James seemed quite fine on the outside, he was actually suffering from critical internal injuries. Furthermore, the residual powers of the Heavenly Tribulation were still circulating in James’ body.

As James levitated in mid-air in a seated position, he focused his concentration on converting and absorbing the powers of the Heavenly Tribulation in his body.

Just then, crackling sounds could be heard again as the tribulation clouds produced countless lightning bolts.

Before those lightning bolts had reached him, James immediately activated the Thousand Paths Holy Body. The powers of the Greater Paths radiated from his body, forming a firm layer of protective barrier in an instant.

Despite having the protection of the Greater Pathsʼ powers, the lightning bolts were so destructive that they penetrated and destroyed the barrier almost instantly. James was struck by the second hit once more.

Fortunately, the powers of the Thousand Paths Holy Body and the Greater Paths were enough to wear off some energies of the lightning bolts. James noticed he suffered less damage to his body this time.

‘I can use this way to lessen the effects of the lightning bolts and protect my body,’ James thought.
