Quincy saw beside him and asked, “What are you looking at, James?”
Thea’s curiosity was also piqued.

James put his phone down and looked at the mountain across the river, explaining, “I’m looking at the weather reports back then. I’m trying to deduce the river’s depth by analyzing if there was any heavy rain that year.” Quincy frowned and asked, “Why do you need to know the water levels?” James explained, “Back then, 1 jumped into the river and held onto a log, floating along the current. That’s how I survived. I didn’t sink to the bottom of the river, so I definitely drifted to the underground cavern along the river’s current. Determining the water levels would allow me to have a rough gauge of the cavern’s location.”
Thea could not help but ask, “Honey, are you looking for an underground cavern? Why are you looking for it? You can ask me if that’s what you’re trying to figure out. I used to play along the Fortune River frequently.”
James turned to Thea and asked doubtfully, “You’re familiar with such things?”
Thea fell into thought.
She racked her mind and said, “I remember there was a severe drought that year. It hadn’t rained for several months, and the water levels were relatively shallow. I was catching crabs by the river with a few classmates.”
James asked, “Are you sure?”
“Yeah.” Thea nodded.
The memories from ten years ago tormented her for a long time, so much that it was impossible for her to forget.
