Quincy sat down. Crossing her arms and her legs, she looked at James and said, “I’ll support you in anything you do. However, I won’t allow Tiara to stay by your side. It’s too dangerous. She’s lucky to have survived this. What about next time? She’s endured so much hardship just to collect intelligence for you. Don’t you feel bad?”

James felt awful. He could not bear to see Tiara being harmed.

“I can do this, Quincy.” Like a child, Tiara looked at Quincy pleadingly and said, “Please don’t chase me away.”

Quincy said, “Tiara, I’m not chasing you away. This is for your own good. You’ll leave this place for a while. Once James is done with his work, you can go back to him. How does that sound?”

Tiara shook her head.

Quincy looked at James and asked, “Now, what?”

“Huh?” James glanced at Quincy.

She said coldly, “Thea or Tiara, choose one. You can’t have it both ways, you know.”

James was at a loss for words. He did not know who to choose.
