"Dad!"
Brittany's cheeks flushed the moment she brought it up, "It's not set in stone yet, let's not talk about it."
Seeing his daughter's shy bashfulness, Yuri burst into laughter, "Alright, alright, I won't say another word."
Ever since he and Brittany had reconnected, she had never shown him this girlish side of hers.
Now, seeing her blush and act timidly was something he found especially endearing.
It was as if the void of the past thirty years was gradually being filled.
Daniel sighed heavily, "What do I do, mom's got a boyfriend, should I tell dad?"
After a hearty meal, Knox, before leaving, entrusted Brittany with his most trusted aides that he had cultivated over the years.
"From now on, if there's anything you don't understand at Grandeur Capital, you can ask them," he paused, "or you can ask me."
"Thank you, Grandpa."
After Knox left, Yuri let out a sigh of relief, "Bri, your grandpa has always been like this. He's accepted you, and he'll start treating you better and better."
But Brittany was thinking about something else.
"Dad, what if I'm not in Craneville one day—"
"Why wouldn't you be in Craneville?" Yuri was puzzled, "Is it because your boyfriend isn't from here? Just move over, a trailer's no big deal. As long as you two truly love each other, I won't object."
Brittany choked up: ...
Isaac couldn't possibly leave the vast Salter family to settle in Craneville.
And she was doing this behind the Lynette family's back...
With Craneville and the Imperial City thousands of miles apart, a long-distance relationship would undoubtedly affect their feelings.
Seeing her lost in thought, Yuri guessed that her boyfriend was from out of town.
"Bri, I don't object to you dating, but if you leave Craneville, I just can't help worrying," Yuri reasoned with her emotionally and logically. "I'm getting older, and I just hope our family can stay together."
Brittany lowered her gaze and responded softly, "I understand."
She and Isaac had just reunited; it was too early to discuss these matters.
