Brittany thought it was Isaac who had forgotten his keys again. As she opened the door, she asked, "Zakky, why...Gianna? What the hell are you doing here?"
It had been a while, and Gianna was no longer as arrogant as before but rather looked quite worn out.
Clearly, Patrina's legal troubles were giving her a real headache!
"Brittany, I'm here to apologize."
Gianna said with a placating smile. Patrina's trial was coming up. Robert refused to get involved, but she couldn't just stand by and let her daughter go to prison!
She held out two bags of luxury goods to Brittany and said, "It's Patty who screwed up this time. Please let her go. These are for you."
Brittany glanced at the stuff. Did she really think she could buy her off with a few out-of-fashion bags?
With a flick of her wrist, she tossed the gifts onto the floor and said, "Gianna, beat it."
She didn't need these things, and she certainly wasn't about to forgive Patrina!
But Gianna thought Brittany was being an ungrateful brat.
"Brittany, what else do you want from me? I've apologized; isn't that enough?"
"Gianna, you should be hiring a good lawyer for Patrina, not apologizing to me!"
Brittany slammed the door in her face. Gianna was left cursing at the door.
Brittany couldn't stand it, so she grabbed a bucket of cold water from the kitchen, opened the door, and threw it at Gianna. "Gianna, I'm warning you; keep your distance, or I'll make your life hell!"
Gianna was shaking all over but didn't dare say anything.
"If you don't scram, I'm calling the cops, and you can join Patrina!"
Gianna was scared stiff; she quickly picked up the luxury goods from the floor and beat a hasty retreat.
Brittany closed the door.
By the time Isaac got back, it was already late at night.
Brittany served him a plate of pasta. She noticed some dark circles under his eyes and asked, "Did you stay up all night?"
