Kari was taken aback.
"Bro, you got someone special now?"
Lilith gave Kari a meaningful look, "Mr. Malone, I hope your dreams come true."
After Lilith left, Kari turned to Ronald: "Bro, you've fallen for someone? Who is it? How serious is it? Whose daughter is she—"
Seeing Kari not jealous but instead full of curiosity, Ronald sighed, "Kari, the timing's not right yet."
Kari had just gone through a breakup; Ronald wasn't the type to take advantage of that.
Kari felt a bit disappointed: "Alright then."
The restaurant truly had an amazing vibe, and halfway through the meal, Kari got up to head to the restroom, and coincidentally ran into Lilith.
"What's your deal with Ronald?"
Lilith was quite taken with Ronald. Despite being a child born out of wedlock, he was extremely favored in the Malone family. If he were to inherit the Malone family's fortune, her own family stood to benefit greatly.
Unfortunately, Ronald was not keen on following family arrangements.
"He's my brother."
Kari instinctively didn't like Lilith, feeling uneasy about her superior attitude.
"Ronald has a sister?"
Lilith's smile turned peculiar.
"Not by blood."
Kari moved towards the sink: "We grew up together."
I see.
Lilith's gaze subtly swept over Kari.
Slender yet curvaceous, with a face that wasn't stunning but definitely had its charm.
Lilith raised an eyebrow: "Have you met the one Ronald likes?"
"No."
Kari found Lilith rather odd: "If you're so curious, you might as well ask him directly."
Why bother asking her?
Reading Kari's barely concealed irritation, Lilith, quick-witted as ever, seemed to grasp something, her gaze mixing with amusement: "I think I might know who Ronald is into."
Kari was skeptical: "Really?"
Wasn't Lilith just probing?
