Isaac was about to say something, feeling moved.
The door to the ICU opened, and a nurse walked out. "Donna Dustin is awake. She wants to see Ms. Dustin."
Brittany wiped her tears, "Okay."
She followed the nurse out.
Isaac stood there, his face expressionless.
Hannah looked around to ensure no one else was there, then cautiously said, "Mr. Salter, are you okay?"
Being accused by Robert face-to-face was tough to swallow.
"I'm fine."
"Robert is just like that, don't take his words to heart." Hannah comforted, "By the way, about the kidney stuff."
"I'm already on it."
Isaac seemed to remember something, "I've contacted a team of experts from abroad to come over under your family's name. So, don't spill the beans."
What? Faced with his cold gaze, Hannah had no choice but to nod, "Understood."
The ICU was more dangerous than a regular hospital room.
Brittany changed into a protective suit and followed the nurse in. Donna Dustin had just woken up and looked awful.
Brittany's eyes turned red as she walked over and held her hand, "Granny."
She couldn't hold back her tears.
Donna Dustin seemed out of it, but when she heard Brittany's voice, she smiled weakly, "Don't worry, I'm okay."
Brittany's crying got worse, "It's my fault. I couldn't find a kidney."
Her granny wouldn't have suffered so much if she had found it sooner.
Donna Dustin shook her head, "Did Robert come?"
Brittany kept silent and she didn't know how to answer. He did come, but he refused to be a match.
Donna Dustin understood the answer. After a while, she said, "Bri, promise me, don't bother with him anymore."
