"Has she gone nuts, suing me?"
Robert smashed the cup in his hand, shoved his secretary aside, and stormed out of the office.
Seeing Brittany and a young man standing in the hallway, he was furious and, with an irritated tone, said, "Brittany, are you out of your mind? I'm your dad, and you're suing me?"
"You said my mom cheated on you during marriage, betrayed you, right? How come now you're admitting you're my dad?"
Brittany had never seen a man as shameless as Robert!
Climbing up the ladder using women, then ditching his wife and daughter in the end.
Publicly bashing his ex-wife, then playing the victim!
"Brittany, since it's come to this, I'll just say you're not a true Dustin. I raised you all these years. Not only are you ungrateful, but you're also suing me. I should have snuffed you out when I had the chance!"
Robert was seething, his eyes bloodshot.
Brittany had long given up on Robert. She also knew he never liked her, "You think I wanted to be born a Dustin? If I could choose, I would rather be a beggar on the street than have anything to do with you."
Even street beggars would save good things for their children, but Robert was not fit to be her father.
Robert was furious; he picked up a vase and threw it at her.
Isaac was quick to react, and he shielded Brittany. The vase shattered on the floor, terrifying the employees who remained silent.
Ever since the Dustin family was ruined, Mr. Dustin seemed to have a worse temper.
"Oh, you're here too?"
Robert only just noticed Isaac; he was seething, "What good are you here? Can you help? Just a broke, powerless nobody; I could squash you just by lifting a finger. Brittany, your taste in men sucks. You turned down Finn and chose this useless guy. Apart from his face, what else does he have to offer? I think your mother has spoiled you."
Robert vented all his anger on Isaac, but this only provoked Brittany. She kicked Robert in the stomach hard, causing him to see red; then she said, "Shut up! He's my husband, and it’s not your place to judge!"
Before, she thought that no matter what, Robert was her father, and she should respect him.
But Robert repeatedly cornered her, even insulting Isaac. She was human too. How could she not have a temper?
Who could have thought that the usually obedient Brittany would fight back? Robert was very angry. He lunged at Brittany, looking ready to strangle her.
"Bri, watch out."
