Brittany's face suddenly changed, turning to Gianna like a deer in headlights, "What are you on about?"
Could it be that her mom didn't kill herself?
Gianna knew her hunch was right just by seeing Brittany's face. She had known for a long time that Robert was his own biggest fan. But she didn't want to leave him, or the cushy life the Dustin family had given her. She had been with Robert since she was 18, gave birth to Patrina at 20, and spent over 20 years by his side.
All she wanted was a decent life with him. But he hesitated. Even though he claimed not to love Julie, he got her pregnant and they had Brittany.
Brittany was born prematurely.
During her pregnancy, Julie insisted on working, and after an event, her water broke and she was rushed to the hospital.
Robert was with Gianna at the time, but when he heard the news, he pushed her away and dashed to the hospital. Julie was critical and he stayed with her overnight.
When Brittany was born, he was like any other dad, excited for the arrival of his child and even showing a hint of careful sweetness.
Julie was still unconscious, and he gently kissed her forehead, whispering comforting words.
Gianna, in her hospital gown, was watching the seemingly harmonious scene from afar.
She was pregnant too, but didn't know it. With that push, she lost her child.
But Julie's child was born.
What a cruel joke!
Gianna had a bone to pick with Julie. She was the golden girl of the Russell family, yet she wanted to steal Robert from her. It was Gianna who had been with Robert first.
Recalling the past, Gianna took a deep breath and looked up with a determined look in her eyes,
"Julie didn't kill herself."
She looked at Brittany, her gaze cold, "She was poisoned to death. Chronic heavy metal poisoning."
Brittany grabbed Gianna's arm, her eyes wide, "Did you do it?"
