Donna looked startled. "Whose kid is he? Is he good to you? What does he do?"

"Granny, he's like me, grew up in a single-parent family. He treats me well, he's just a regular guy.” Brittany replied gently. “Don't worry about me, I'm doing well."

Hearing this, Donna’s heart ached. Her granddaughter was supposed to end up with the best guy out there.
