"Brittany Dustin, are you out of your mind?"
A piercing scream echoed through the air. Brittany’s vision was blurred. She discarded the bottle in her hand with a smirk and said, "Buzz off!"
This arrogant man dared to confront her?
Hannah Chester was startled, then quickly stepped forward, shielding Brittany.
James Palmer's people called the cops. They arrived swiftly.
James was badly injured and was rushed to the hospital.
Brittany, however, was taken to the police station for questioning, with Hannah accompanying her.
Brittany was brought into an interrogation room. She answered all the police's questions but was told she couldn't leave the station until James's condition stabilized.
Upon hearing about James's injuries, Joie immediately rushed to the hospital.
"James, are you okay?"
James was awake. His head was bandaged, but it still throbbed with pain. He cursed, "Damn! That bitch Brittany, how dare she lay her hands on me…"
A woman whom Isaac Salter dumped, yet still acting high and mighty?
"You and Brittany had a conflict?" Joie never expected James to have a conflict with Brittany. Wasn't this a golden opportunity given to her by God?
"Yes."
James recounted the incident to her.
Joie pretended to disapprove as she said, "James, how could you? Even though Brittany has broken up with Bro Isaac, she was still his ex-wife. You shouldn't…”
James wasn’t scared of Brittany. A woman who depended on men, what was there to fear?
"You know they're sworn enemies now. Brittany almost ruined Mr. Salter's reputation with a video. Now that Brittany has lost her backing, I'd like to see how she dares to confront us, the Palmer family!"
This was exactly what Joie had been waiting to hear, but she pretended to be hesitant, "But James, she is still Bro Isaac's ex-wife. Don't go too far."
James scoffed. He immediately had the Palmer family exert pressure on the police, demanding not to let Brittany go.
After leaving the hospital, Joie headed straight for the Salter Manor.
