After freshening up, she pulled on a black sundress and swung open Isaac's room door.
"Bro Isaac, you in?"
But he was nowhere in sight.
She was a bit confused, thinking maybe Isaac was busy with work stuff, so she turned to leave.
Suddenly, her phone rang, making her jump. She realized it was on the desk. She looked around and then went to pick it up.
It was an unknown number.
There was no contact name.
But Joie had a hunch that the number might have been Brittany's.
She paused slightly, then swiped to answer the call and took the initiative, "Hello?"
The other person seemed to have been interrupted by her, and the breathing on the other end of the phone became heavy.
Then the call was hung up.
Joie was right. She then deleted the call log, put the mobile phone back on the desk, and slipped away silently.
After finishing his work, Isaac wanted to call Nathan on his phone.
But he found his phone was missing.
He looked around and then remembered that he had left his phone in his room.
He went back to the bedroom, called Nathan, and before hanging up, asked, "How's Daniel?"
"Daniel is all good now. Brittany takes great care of him. She really liked Daniel. She even hired a nanny especially for him."
“Good.”
...
It was Brittany's first time on a shoot, so she was a bit nervous.
Kari was then working and couldn't accompany her, so she picked a few reliable designers from the studio and brought an assistant. Early next morning, they rushed to the set.
"Frenzied Sun" was a mainstream TV drama, and with the whole crew's investment reaching hundreds of millions of dollars, it was a big deal.
