Daniel was nestled in Brittany's arms, thinking, "I must look a lot like my mom. She did give birth to me after all!"
"Really?" Brittany couldn't tell.
William thought their intimacy was a bit off the charts, probably due to fate. "You do look a bit like her."
Brittany lifted Daniel, giving him a good once-over, "Maybe you do look a bit like me. No wonder I like you so much."
"And mom is my favorite too."
Daniel showered Brittany with a bunch of slobbery kisses, leaving her face all wet, but she didn't mind having a blast with Daniel.
William, shaking his head with a smile, asked, "Has Daniel's father been in touch?"
Daniel perked up at this.
Before Brittany could respond, Daniel said, "Dad is really busy with work. He doesn't have much time for me."
Brittany pinched Daniel's cheek. It was all squishy, "I've met his father before. I guess he's too busy to take care of Daniel."
She was worried that William wouldn't like Daniel, and Hannah Chester's words still echoed in her ears, "I'll talk to his father after this busy period."
William knew what Brittany was thinking, "I really like Daniel. If his father agreed, we can consider him our godson, we can meet up often."
He loved kids, and Daniel was a good kid. Plus Brittany liked him a lot, of course, he was more than happy to.
Brittany hadn't thought about this before, but hearing this, she started to consider it seriously.
Hearing the William’s proposal, Daniel's eyes grew even more significant. He didn't want to be a godson. He wanted to be Mommy's treasure!
"Mom, I don't want to be a godson." Daniel said, "I want to be mommy's treasure."
Brittany was tickled pink by this, about to say something.
The nanny stepped out of the kitchen, seeing the heavy rain outside. She was a bit worried, "With this heavy rain, there might be traffic on the way home."
"Well then, don't go home." Brittany got up with Daniel, "We have spare rooms at home. I wanted you to stay before, but you refused. With the rain tonight, just stay."
The nanny pondered for a few seconds, then agreed.
Brittany turned to William, "You shouldn't go home either tonight. Just stay."
