Brittany hopped into her car after exiting the apartment with mixed feelings.
Every encounter with Isaac dragged her back to her most desperate days five years ago. It felt like a heavyweight was pressing against her chest, and breathing felt like an uphill battle.
When her emotions had somewhat settled, she checked her phone. She saw a message from Hannah Chester.
"Bri, are you looking for the Blue Diamond? I got it here."
Upon seeing the message, Brittany immediately called her back.
"Hannah, how come you have it?"
"After your mishap, I kept your stuff." Hannah had been extremely busy recently, but upon hearing Brittany was looking for the Blue Diamond, she immediately called her, "I'll have somebody delivered it to you."
"Alright, got it."
Despite finding the item, Brittany still didn't feel relieved.
Someone like Hannah couldn’t leave anything of Brittany's with Isaac. Yet the apartment was filled with Brittany's stuff.
Clothes, bedding, throw pillows on the couch, even her favourite mug... everything was exactly the same as before.
Clearly, Isaac bought all of these later.
Brittany scoffed and drove off.
Soon, Hannah delivered the Blue Diamond. Brittany looked at the familiar diamond and found something amusing.
She was a jewelry expert and she knew it was real. So why did she believe Isaac and think it was fake?
The Blue Diamond was extremely expensive, so the crew was worried it could get damaged or lost.
So they kept it in a safe.
As Brittany exited her office, she bumped into someone.
"Brittany, what are you doing here?"
Joie's voice trembled. She couldn't believe Brittany would actually show up at the set!
Brittany's assistant furrowed her brows from behind, "How dare you talk to Ms. Dustin like that?"
The assistant obviously knew Joie and her relationship with Isaac.
