The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 661

Brittany stormed off, driving to a nearby bar. She dialed Hannah Chester's number. By the time Hannah showed up at the bar, Brittany had already downed a few drinks.

"Bri, you should chill out on the booze."

Hannah knew that the Dustin Group was in a jam, but Brittany getting plastered wasn't going to solve anything.

Holding her glass with teary eyes, Brittany asked, "Do you think I screwed up somewhere?"

She couldn't figure out what she had done wrong to be repeatedly deceived by Isaac. He didn't even treat her like an individual but made decisions about their relationship on his own.

"The Dustin Group thing, my brother already knows, I..." Hannah thought Brittany was stressed about work and tried to comfort her.

But Brittany shook her head, "Isaac and I got hitched."

Hannah was taken aback, "Isn't it a sham marriage?"

Brittany took a swig, the liquor burning its way down her throat. Her brows furrowed, "This time, it's for real. I just returned to the country, and he went to register."

Hannah slammed her fist on the table and said, "What's wrong with Isaac? Doesn't he understand that you're a human being, not his private property? How can he treat you like that?"

A few drinks later, Brittany's cheeks were flushed from the liquor.

She slumped over the bar table, "No one in this city dares to take the case. I can't even get a divorce."

Hannah gritted her teeth, paid for the drinks, and helped the drunken Brittany make her exit.

She took Brittany back to her place, not telling her parents about Brittany's troubles for fear of worrying them.

She helped Brittany bathe, change into her pajamas, and put her to bed.

Brittany had had too much to drink and was feeling lousy.

Hannah went downstairs to make a hangover soup. As she was taking the soup upstairs, Lionel Chester walked in.

Lionel had just returned from abroad and looked worn out.

"Bro, when did you get back?" Hannah was surprised.
