Isaac crouched down slightly and said, "William will have his own new life."
Daniel nodded half-heartedly, "I get it."
After tucking Daniel into bed, Isaac knocked on Brittany's door.
"What's up?"
Brittany looked like she had just stepped out of the bathroom, wearing a light pink robe, revealing a small section of her smooth neck.
"Did you see William this afternoon?"
"Are you stalking me?" Brittany asked instinctively, "Isaac, I'm a person and not your property. Do I really have to report to you who I've met?"
Isaac hadn't expected her to react so strongly, so he clarified, "I didn't."
"Yes, I saw him." Brittany held the doorknob in her hand, "So, what are you planning this time? I remember when I was dating William, you caused some trouble that almost led to the Dillion family going bust. What about this time?"
Isaac looked into her accusing eyes, feeling a bit guilty.
"I just don't want you to be with him."
"So, what are you going to do?"
"Hand the information you have to the police? Or pull the same stunt again?"
Brittany found Isaac's behavior very odd. It seemed like he had everything he ever wanted, from a career to other things. It all came too easily. So he probably felt that everything should bow to his will.
In that relationship, Isaac never considered if Brittany was willing; he only wanted to keep Brittany around by any means necessary.
The Dillion family was his obstacle; even if they had been friends for many years, he could cut ties ruthlessly.
Isaac hadn't expected that Brittany would know about the information he had. Did the Dillion family show her?"
He asked, “Did you break up with William because you were afraid the information would be made public?"
That thought made Isaac want to hurt her. How could she go that far for William?
