The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 724

Leda's face turned ashen, "What's the old woman's stubbornness about? The Salter family is under our control now. Why won't she accept me?"

Marcel's expression was equally grim, "You shouldn't have provoked Isaac."

"I was only trying to protect Nova. It was that brat who laid his hands on Nova." Leda tried to shift the blame, trying to preserve her image as a loving grandmother.

Marcel was uninterested, "I don't recall us being close, Ms. Joie. Mind your words."

Joie pursed her lips, "I'm sorry, Marcel. I just wanted to say hello."

Marcel saw through Joie's ambitions. Despite her innocent act, her greed was apparent.

He was not interested in such people. Compared to her, he preferred women like Zella, who were devoted to him alone.

He had been busy with work and hadn't been home in several days.

He missed Zella.

After Marcel left, Joie bit her lip in frustration. She refused to believe that she was inferior to Zella!
