Brittany gently turned down Lucas once again when she got home.
Lucas was obviously disheartened. "Bri, I'm really sorry."
He genuinely liked Brittany, but she refused to give him a chance.
"Lucas, we're not right for each other. We're better off as friends."
Lucas sighed, "All right then, can we still have dinner together?"
"Sure."
Brittany ended the call, tucked Daniel into bed, and decided to take a stroll to clear her mind.
She had barely taken a few steps when she noticed a man standing in the shadow.
She was startled.
The man stepped out of the shadow.
"Brittany, You've been going on dates lately?"
"Isaac?"
Isaac strode up to her, pressing her against the wall assertively, "Stop seeing other men."
He must have just arrived. His body was cold.
His voice was hoarse, filled with an unusual emotion.
Brittany instinctively struggled, "Isaac, let me go."
Isaac seemed flustered. He had initially agreed to the divorce, not wanting Brittany to be entangled with Leda and her son anymore.
Another part of him hoped that Brittany would stop resisting him.
