It seemed like he was still busy.
Brittany didn't mind. She returned to her room to freshen up. When she emerged, she saw the news that Joie had been replaced.
It seems that Zella acted fast.
...
Joie was fuming at home, stomping her feet in anger over being replaced.
Her agent was surprised, "Joie, aren't you and Mr. Marcel on good terms?"
Why would they replace her role out of the blue?
"It must be Zella."
Joie gritted her teeth. Who else would have a bone to pick with her?
Zella probably found out about the news and had a falling out with Marcel.
Joie, not willing to accept being replaced, planned to get in touch with Marcel again and determined to reclaim her role.
Marcel hadn't expected Zella to be bothered by Joie's presence. He was slightly irked, but Zella's jealous expression was rather amusing to him.
"I've already replaced her role, so stop making a fuss."
Zella held onto Marcel's hand, "Marcel, I’m willing to agree to anything as long as I can be with you. But there can't be anyone else."
He didn't want to get married, and she compromised even though she had objections.
Her only requirement was that she should be the only one by Marcel's side.
"There's no one else." Marcel spoke truthfully, "I don't like Joie."
Zella knew it, otherwise Marcel wouldn't have replaced Joie.
"Alright."
...
Word spread quickly about Joie being replaced, and many in the industry speculated whether Joie had offended someone. Everyone was watching.
Her previously packed schedule was forced to a halt, and Joie was left with nothing to do overnight.
