Brittany's thoughts were read like a book and her cheeks flushed a bit, "I didn't go looking for him."
"You just don't want to admit it." Hannah raised an eyebrow, "We grew up together, I know you inside out."
Brittany's cheeks and ears turned red, "You know exactly what I'm thinking, why do you have to say it out loud."
"Patrina's image is tarnished, she was disqualified from the competition for cheating, and the Dustin family's stocks have plunged. They're probably not going to last long."
Hannah informed her of the latest on the Dustin family, "You really jumped the gun this time. If Mr. Salter hadn't found you in time, you could be in even bigger trouble."
Hannah thought about it and felt that Brittany was really impulsive. Despite knowing that the Dustin family was up to no good, she still chose to meet them.
"Robert threatened me with the shares my mom left behind."
Brittany knew she was impulsive, but to her, what her mom left behind was more important than the competition. She didn't expect Robert to take such drastic measures.
"It's okay, the Dustin family is bound to go bankrupt sooner or later, we'll just sit back and watch."
Hannah knew about Brittany's stubbornness and knew she couldn't change her mind.
Hannah bought her some plain porridge. Just as she was sipping on it, they heard a commotion outside.
She frowned, who could it be?
Didn't they know Brittany was still recovering?
"Bri, I'll go see who it is."
Hannah left the room and saw Finn being held by a few nurses in the hallway.
"Finn, what are you doing here?"
"I came to see Brittany." Finn, seeing Hannah, clung to her like a lifeline, "Hannah, explain for me, I'm here to see Brittany."
Hannah scoffed, "Finn, still playing the part of the concerned lover? When Brittany was framed, you didn't even give her a glance!"
When Brittany was framed back then, Finn didn't even spare her a sympathetic look, let alone visit her like he is now.
Finn was taken aback, his lips trembling, "I didn't know she was framed at the time."
"I know."
Brittany heard the voices, struggling to stand up and walk towards Finn, "You didn't care whether I was innocent or not, you only cared about whether I embarrassed you, right?"
Finn stuttered, unable to speak.
