Everett's tone was dead serious, not a hint of room for negotiation in his voice.
That actually made Dorothy feel a bit guilty...
She hadn't thought it all through.
She just figured since Abigail and Langston hardly ever used the playroom, crammed as it was with toys, and with classes from Monday to Saturday, they barely had a chance to play with them anyway.
"So... what do you think we should do? We can do away with the guest bedroom, hardly anyone visits Bay Residence anyway."
At most, it was just Jeffrey and Karen coming over.
And they would leave by nightfall!
Everett, with his obsession for cleanliness, always disliked having others in his space.
"We still need the guest room." Sometimes, to avoid disturbing her, Everett would retreat there to work or have meetings when Dorothy was asleep, coming back only when he was done.
Without it, moving his work to the living room could disturb Dorothy and the kids.
"Then..." Dorothy was at a loss.
Everett sat on the edge of the bed, whispering, "I'm thinking of buying the property behind us, merging the two houses. That way, we'll have plenty of rooms! We can clear out the living room there just for the kids to play."
"..."
Even after all this time with Everett, Dorothy still wasn't used to his way of spending money.
Just because of one more baby! Bay Residence was already so spacious, and yet, it couldn't accommodate? Needing to buy another house?
"When we start the renovation, we'll move to another place for a while. I've calculated it all; it should be just right after you've had the baby and left the postpartum care center, the work here would be finished."
