Actually, every time he dropped Calvin's name, left and right, Felicity knew he must've seen Calvin as some kind of rival.
She really wanted to explain that she'd always seen Calvin as just a friend.
But as the words reached her lips, she swallowed them back down.
Why bother explaining? After all, she and him only had a month left together.
"Langston, you always keep your word, right?"
Miles Lopez thought she was talking about buying roses and immediately nodded seriously, "Of course, I wouldn't lie to you."
"Good."
Halfway through the drive, speak of the devil, and he shall appear.
Calvin's call came through!
As soon as she answered, the background noise was so loud, Miles could hardly ignore it.
"Are you coming home tonight?"
Before Felicity could even respond, Miles's eyebrows knitted together in annoyance.
He hated hearing the words "coming home" from Calvin's mouth.
It felt as if... Felicity and Calvin were the real family, and he was just taking someone else's fiancée out on a date.
Felicity was his fiancée, after all!
"Not coming back, you need something?"
"Oh, staying over at Langston's then?"
Calvin wasn't dumb, he caught on immediately.
"Yeah, we're together."
Hearing Felicity openly admit she was with him, Miles's furrowed brows instantly relaxed.
"Alright then, have fun, I won't bother you guys, hanging up now."
Calvin said, not even giving Felicity a chance to reply, and just hung up.
As a man, Miles totally got why Calvin did that!
