The CEO's Hidden Love: Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires novel Chapter 1658

After dropping his father back at their family home in Bay Residence, Miles drove alone back to his own place.

Pouring himself a glass of ice water, he plonked himself down on the living room couch, took a sip, and then...

He pulled out his phone and dialed the headquarters of Anglonia Inc.

"I need the medical records for someone named Felicity," he instructed.

"Right away, Mr. Lopez," came the reply.

A short while later, they got back to him, "Since Ms. Miller is no longer employed here, we're missing this year's records, but I've sent everything else to your email."

"Okay."

Miles didn't bother getting up to fire up his laptop; he just flicked through the records on his phone.

Years of check-ups, nothing out of the ordinary.

In fact, she seemed even healthier than him!

Here he was, stuck in front of a computer screen all day, dealing with a steadily worsening vision, not to mention the joys of neck strain and lower back pain.

Felicity, on the other hand, seemed to be as fit as a fiddle.

Tossing his phone back on the couch, Miles let out a wry smile.

Looks like Dad was worrying over nothing.

...

Later that night, Dorothy had already taken her bath, changed into her pajamas, and was about to hit the sack when she noticed Everett lost in thought, his mind seemingly miles away.

It wasn't often that something puzzled him to this extent.

Naturally, this sparked Dorothy's curiosity.

"What's on your mind?"

"Huh?" Everett turned to look at her, pulling his wife closer, "Has Karen talked to you about Felicity lately?"
