Arnold chuckled, brushing off the comment as nothing more than child's play.
"Sounds spooky, we better watch out then."
Mira pointed to a little red dot at the center of her forehead.
"Auntie Aurelia put this sticker on us for good luck. It's like a superpower charm. Now no ghosts will dare come near us."
Arnold ruffled her hair affectionately, "Auntie Aurelia always knows best. No need to be scared then. I've got some Christmas presents for you guys. We'll open them when we get back to the hotel."
Afterward, they hit up a local diner for a hearty meal, followed by a trip to the fairytale park.
It was Christmas Day, and there was a parade with floats.
The kids were over the moon.
"Wow, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!"
"And there's Shrek with his lovable Donkey."
Nova too was delighted, waving her tiny hands and giggling with joy.
The kids spent the whole afternoon playing in the fairytale park, and then they dashed back to the hotel, buzzing with excitement to open their presents.
Leopold arrived, having finished his work, he flew directly by helicopter.
Aurelia was feeling the early strains of pregnancy, a bit dizzy and weak, so she rested in bed.
Leopold stroked her hair with a tender touch, "Tired, huh? Just rest up tonight, I'll take the kids to see the fireworks show."
Aurelia moaned softly, "Pregnancy is such a hassle. I swear this is the last time."
"Alright, no more babies," Leopold agreed, not that he had planned for more. Kane was enough for them. This had been an unexpected surprise due to a lapse in caution.
Aurelia rolled her eyes at him, "Can you handle nine months of abstinence?"
He choked a little, "You know my dick as well as I do. It only has eyes for you."
Aurelia pulled a face, teasing, "Does it have a brain of its own?"
