Nina's sobs came in soft hiccups, "What about Mom? Will the police take her away? Do they know she's innocent?"
Aurelia stroked her hair gently, "Uncle Leopold will make sure they understand."
If he had guessed right, by now Leopold would have already sent someone to the police station.
In the living room, Lisa was questioning Skyler about hypnosis. Ever since she had been hypnotized at the Snowy Summit Retreat, she had been on edge, terrified that she might lose consciousness again and do something dreadful.
"Skyler, are you sure the hypnosis is completely gone?"
Skyler flinched slightly, "Have you done anything strange lately?"
Lisa shook her head, "No, but I'm worried. I've watched some movies about hypnosis. The people in them seem normal but whenever they hear a certain sound or get a hypnotic cue, they fall back under."
Skyler chuckled, "Movies tend to dramatize, you know? Rest easy. I've lifted the hypnosis. No sound should affect you unless you're hypnotized again."
Lisa shivered at the thought. She did not want to be hypnotized again.
"Is there any way to prevent it?" she asked.
"There's counter-hypnosis, but it takes a while to learn," Skyler explained.
