Kane got the hint and followed Susanna across the room.
The Smiths were waving him over. They were long-time neighbors and often held barbecues together, sharing a bond as tight as family.
William, sensing Kane's potential discomfort, quickly introduced himself to Susanna, "Hi, Susanna. I'm Keith, William's brother. Great to meet you."
"Hi, Keith," Susanna replied with a friendly smile, and they all went over to greet Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Kane would have struggled without William's assistance.
Leopold was unfazed by his son making online friends. After all, he was a whiz with computers.
But William's rapport with Susanna seemed unusual, almost as if they were more acquainted than Kane was. Could William also be one of Susanna's online pals?
Skyler, sitting beside him, sipped on his juice, also sensing something off.
Why did William call himself Keith? When Susanna had greetings, it had caught Skyler off guard.
After all, William had grown up abroad and had many friends there.
Usually, online friends didn't greet each other so warmly when meeting in person.
Nina, bobbing her head to the music, said, "I've got online friends too. I even run a fan club group."
"I know, it's the fan club for Avery Hawthorne," Mira teased, sticking out her tongue playfully.
Nina covered her mouth, giggling. She planned to take advantage of the school break to create more content for her fans.
After exchanging pleasantries with Susanna's parents and asking about their hotel, William decided he would reveal his true identity the next day, inviting Susanna's family to tour Elysium as a proper host.
Following a hearty meal of pizza, they returned to the Stirling Mansion.
The kids were soon tucked away in their rooms.
William patted his chest in relief, "Man, that was close. I thought for sure we'd be busted."
Thankfully, their quick thinking had saved the day.
