Leopold's heart gave a violent throb. So Aurelia's sulking and giving him the cold shoulder for no apparent reason was due to hormonal issues?
It had been three days and these damn hormones still hadn't settled?
He took a deep breath, taking the book from Laura's hand, "I know what to do."
Laura chuckled, "Girls love presents. Aurelia, she's too frugal. She hardly ever buys anything for herself. Even her handbag looks too old. Every girl should carry a decent handbag."
Leopold gave her a sidelong glance, his eyes darkening. A penny-pinching miser, only knew how to save money but not how to spend it?
"It's getting late. You should rest."
Back in his car, he fished out his phone and sent a WhatsApp message to Kevin: [Get me a handbag.]
Kevin understood immediately, his eyes swelling with joyful tears.
Goodness, he has finally seen the light! A cause for celebration indeed!
[On it.]
Leopold tossed the cell phone onto the passenger seat. His icy gaze flickered ominously in the night. He was doing this entirely for the children, and it had nothing to do with that woman!
How could he ever spoil a woman, let alone coax her? No way!
At the Sunbeam Retreat, Jolin had finished cooking.
Aurelia had some soup and sighed in satisfaction, "No matter how good the food at the restaurants is, it can never compare to mom's home cooking."
Jelena chimed in, "Aunt Jolin's cooking is the best. That's why I would always follow Aurelia home after school, eat, and then wait for dad to pick me up."
Jolin sighed, "Time flies so fast. In a blink of an eye, you're all grown up."
