Fredric spread his hands and said, "Why don't you join me? You've been too cranky lately, always suspicious. You need some peace of mind."
Sheryl was astounded. She couldn't believe that he was just practicing yoga.
Aurelia chuckled, “I do prenatal yoga every day. Jelena taught me. It helps maintain my figure and balance hormones, so I don’t have to worry about stretch marks and pregnancy spots. Mrs. Stirling, you should try it when you get pregnant.”
Sheryl’s attention shifted to Aurelia. She scrutinized her, the suspicious look in her eyes deepening, "Fredric, I didn't expect you to sign up them together? They are truly beautiful, and you are reaping the benefits of their charm."
Fredric massaged his forehead and said, "What nonsense are you talking about? This is Arnold’s wife, Aurelia, your future sister-in-law."
As he spoke, Leopold’s grip on his drink tightened slightly, a spark of anger flashing through his eyes. He was her legal husband.
Sheryl was taken aback. The recent rumors in the circle of elites were about Arnold meeting his destined woman, so this was her.
She was actually Jelena’s cousin. These two sisters seemed to be very crafty, both rising to the top of the ranks.
“Aurelia? The name suits you. Did Jelena introduce you to Arnold?”
“No.” Aurelia shook her head, “I met Arnold three years ago.”
Sheryl sneered, “So, you introduced Jelena to Fredric?”
Aurelia was perplexed, this line of questioning was unusual.
“Mrs. Stirling, I only found out about Jelena’s move to Fredric’s company after the fact.”
Fredric was indignant and said, "Sheryl, you are the lady in this family. Next year, Aurelia will be joining us, and you need to set a good example. In the Stirling family, men are allowed to have mistresses, but women must not be jealous. You must be virtuous, take care of your family, be considerate towards their husbands, and get along with others. Please remember this.”
Before his words finished, Aurelia started coughing violently, covering her mouth.
Fredric looked at her, a puzzled smile on his face, "Did our family rules scare you? Didn’t Arnold tell you about them?"
