"Sure thing." Kane nodded.
Mira clapped her hands in joy, "Kane is the best. Mira loves Kane the most."
Nina stuck out her tongue. She was already in elementary school, a big kid who didn't play with Barbie dolls anymore.
Aurelia glanced at the children and followed Leopold to the living room to greet the relatives.
Leopold wrapped his arm around her shoulder, "Since Arnold has called off his wedding, let's have ours first. I've already picked a date. February 6th is a good day, so let's set it then."
Aurelia was taken aback, her eyes wide in shock as she stared at him, at a loss for words.
Jessica was surprised too because Leopold had never mentioned this to her.
One of Leopold's uncles chuckled, "A reunion between Leopold and Aurelia deserves a wedding celebration. We, the Stirling family, have a double celebration this year."
Everyone else agreed. But Aurelia felt as if a tsunami was crashing inside her.
On stepping out of the living room, she pulled Leopold into the backyard, "Why a wedding? We're not even back together yet?"
Leopold held her hand, caressing it gently, "Whether or not you want to get back together, I want to give you a wedding." His eyes sparkled with warmth. He quickly slipped a diamond ring onto her ring finger, giving her no chance to resist.
The ring was unique, designed by him, and featured a rare, heart-shaped, red diamond at its center. Red was the rarest color for a diamond, making this one truly one-of-a-kind.
Aurelia felt the weight of the ring on her finger. She tried to remove it, but couldn't.
His lips curled into a seductive smile as he gripped her hand again, "Once my ring is on, it's not coming off."
"Leopold..." She wanted to say something, but he silenced her with a finger on her lips.
