Elowen spluttered in disbelief. She really had no idea that Leopold had a taste for this type of woman.
But was Aurelia really an innocent girl? How had she missed that?
"You're not naive at all, and you just pretend to be."
Playing dumb, she had fooled both her and Evelyn. While they were fighting tooth and nail, both coming out worse for wear, she was reaping the benefits.
Aurelia simply smiled, "Leopold has a keen eye, and he can see through any act, who could possibly fool him?"
Elowen squinted slightly, "Have you and Arnold broken up completely?"
Aurelia shrugged nonchalantly, "I am not one to fight or compete. I believe that what is mine, no one can take away, and what's not mine, no amount of pleading can bring it."
Elowen pouted, "If Arnold hadn't married Lisa, you wouldn't have come back to Leopold, would you?"
Aurelia didn't answer, instead, she looked at the ring on her hand, the red diamond sparkling brilliantly in the sunlight, burning like a fire.
Leopold, who was once cold as ice, was now as passionate as a blazing fire, ready to ignite her at any moment.
"There are no ifs in this world," she replied. At this moment, Leopold approached, bending down to place a tender kiss on her cheek. Aurelia didn't shy away, but smiled sweetly, matching his public display of affection graciously.
Elowen was dumbstruck because she had never seen Leopold so gentle before. This was what she had always dreamed of, yet he showed it to another woman.
"Aurelia, I heard that you and Arnold have a child together. After you two separated, who did the child stay with?" she asked deliberately, believing this to be the question Leopold would least want to face.
Could he really accept Aurelia who had a child with Arnold?
