The CEO's Unplanned Heir novel Chapter 359

Aurelia felt a bead of sweat trickling down her forehead. When had they become so close, so unrestricted?

To her, he was still that icy, aloof, ruthless guy. His sudden warmth threw her off balance.

“It's getting late. I have work to do.” She sat up, quickly got out of bed, and darted into the bathroom.

Watching her retreating figure, Leopold's smile grew wider. He decided, from then on, he would have her every night.

Originally, Arnold planned to cook a hearty dinner today and asked William to invite Aurelia over. But then, Magnolia called. She said there was an emergency and asked him to come over to Moonlight Manor.

As soon as he entered, he saw Lisa, and his brows immediately furrowed.

"Mom, why did you ask me to come here?"

Magnolia smiled, "I just wanted us to have a family dinner.”

Arnold was furious, “This is your emergency?”

“If I didn't say that, would you have come?” Magnolia sighed.

Arnold detested deceit. He turned to go but Magnolia grabbed his arm, “Since you're here, why don't you stay and have dinner? I made your favorite chicken wings. You used to devour a whole plate when you were little."

Arnold took a deep breath, hesitated for a moment, and then decided to stay.

Lisa whispered, "Arnold, can you give me a chance? I can be a good wife."

Arnold scoffed, "Impossible. Don’t delude yourself. I've asked my lawyer to draft the divorce papers. You'd better sign them, and don't force me to take action."

Lisa’s lips trembled, and she turned her gaze to Magnolia.

Magnolia waved her hand and said, "Let's eat first. We can discuss this later.”

The dinner table was eerily silent.

For Arnold, the chicken wings no longer tasted like they used to. They were no longer the flavor he remembered.

Perhaps it was because he was too young to understand the kind of person Magnolia really was.
