Leopold must have lost his mind to have left Aurelia for Megan. He was sure Leopold would soon regret his decision. But he wouldn't give Leopold the chance to backtrack.
Unnoticed in a shadowy corner nearby, a pair of eyes remained fixed on Aurelia, almost bleeding with intensity.
Leopold had donned a high-tech mask, which had altered his facial features. So, his identity remained unknown.
Aurelia's elusiveness made him anxious, his emotions teetering on the edge of control.
Suddenly, Aurelia lost her balance and started to fall backward. He jolted upright from his chair.
But he was too far to hold her.
Elvis, quick on his feet, had already wrapped an arm around her slender waist and pulled her back to safety.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I think I might be a little tipsy." She gave a light smile, her eyes sparkling like crescent moons. Elvis felt a bit entranced.
Even after she regained her balance, his arm still lingered around her.
She was as soft as velvet. Elvis couldn't bear to let go, wanting to hold her a little longer.
It was the first time he'd felt such a strong desire towards a woman.
A spark of anger flashed in Leopold's eyes. His fists clenched involuntarily, ready to punch Elvis and take back his woman, but someone else moved faster. Another hand grabbed Aurelia's and pulled her into his arms.
Surprised, Aurelia turned around to see Arnold's handsome face.
"Arnold? What are you doing here?"
"You're having a bachelorette party. Of course, I must come."
Arnold had been at a photo shoot when he heard the news and immediately dropped everything to rush over. Luckily, he was just in time to prevent Elvis from making any moves.
